FemiPro UTI Herbal Blend: What the Name Says and What It Cannot Promise
The FemiPro UTI herbal blend is the label name for a 350 mg mix of Mimosa pudica seed, cranberry, bearberry and berberine. The name is not a treatment claim the evidence supports. A urinary tract infection needs a clinician and usually antibiotics, and no trial of this blend exists.

The name01
What is the FemiPro UTI herbal blend?
The FemiPro UTI herbal blend is the first of two blends on the Supplement Facts panel. It totals 350 mg per capsule and lists four plant lines: Mimosa pudica seed extract, cranberry extract, bearberry leaf and berberine extract.
The words "UTI Herbal Blend" are the maker's own name. A name chosen by a brand can hint at an effect without the evidence to stand behind it. The label does not claim the blend treats an infection, and neither do we.
The ceilings follow the label order: at most 350, 175, 116.7 and 87.5 mg. They are limits from arithmetic, not printed amounts.
The second blend, the 50 mg probiotic blend, carries no such name. It lists five Lactobacillus strains, and the label prints no CFU count for them. Only the first blend wears a UTI label, which is why it draws the most questions.
Infection02
Can a supplement treat a urinary tract infection?
No, a supplement cannot treat a urinary tract infection. A bladder infection is a bacterial illness that needs a clinician, and antibiotics are the usual treatment (CDC, UTI basics).
Waiting on herbs can let an infection climb toward the kidneys. Fever, back or side pain, chills, nausea or vomiting are signs to get care the same day. Our cranberry and UTI guide explains the line between prevention and treatment.
Keep taking prescribed medicine, and never swap a course of antibiotics for capsules.
Common, and worth a routine visit
- Leaks when you cough, sneeze, laugh or liftOften stress leaks; pelvic-floor training helps many women
- Sudden urges and rushing to the bathroomOften an overactive bladder; bladder training helps
- Waking more than twice a night to peeA marker of overactive bladder; worth raising at a checkup
- Leaks after childbirth or around menopauseCommon, and treatable: it is not just part of aging
See a clinician soon
- Burning or pain when you peeCan mean a urinary tract infection
- Fever, chills, or back or side painCan mean a kidney infection, which is more serious
- Blood in the urinePink, red or cola-colored urine always needs a check
- Peeing eight or more times a dayNIDDK lists it among signs to get checked
Get care nowCannot pass urine or empty your bladder at all? NIDDK says to seek care right away.
Signs from NIDDK (NIDDK, Incontinence causes and when to get care), the CDC (CDC, UTI basics) and Mayo Clinic (Mayo Clinic, Blood in urine). A supplement is not a treatment for any of them, and an infection needs a test, not a guess.
Four plants03
What does the research say about each blend ingredient?
The research is uneven across the four plants. Cranberry has the best record, and only for preventing repeat infections. The other three have little or no urinary data in the form used.
| Line | Ceiling per capsule | What is known |
|---|---|---|
| Mimosa pudica seed | 350 mg | Traditional use; no controlled human trial (Muhammad 2016, Mimosa pudica review) |
| Cranberry (30% PAC) | 175 mg | Fewer repeat UTIs in some trials (Cochrane 2023, cranberries for preventing UTIs) |
| Bearberry leaf | 116.7 mg | EU: adult women, one week at most (EMA/HMPC, Uvae ursi folium (bearberry leaf)) |
| Berberine extract 8% | 87.5 mg | Blood sugar and lipid studies; no urinary outcomes (Berberine umbrella review, 2023) |
Cranberry findings concern women prone to repeat infections. They do not describe bladder leaks, and they do not show that FemiPro does the same.

See packsDaily use04
Is a daily herbal blend a mismatch for bearberry?
It is a mismatch worth knowing about: the capsule is taken daily, while EU guidance caps bearberry at one week of use. The label does not say whether the leaf amount is small or large.
Bearberry contains hydroquinone, and the liver reference advises short courses only (LiverTox, Uva Ursi). The guidance also says to see a doctor if symptoms last more than four days.
That does not mean the capsule is unsafe for every reader. It means the blend name hides a routine that its own plant would not support, and a physician can weigh that for your case.
What to do05
What should you do about UTI symptoms?
Call a clinician if you have burning, urgency, cloudy or bloody urine, or pelvic pain. Do not try to settle it with a capsule first.
Frequent infections deserve a plan. Options such as vaginal estrogen after menopause are listed in guidelines for some women, and cranberry is offered for prevention (AUA/CUA/SUFU, Recurrent uncomplicated UTI guideline 2025). Ask which fits you.
Bring a short list to the visit: how many infections you had in the past year, the dates, what the urine test showed and which antibiotic you were given. Mention every supplement you take, including this one.

FAQ06
FemiPro UTI herbal blend questions, answered
Why is FemiPro's herbal blend called a UTI blend?
The label does not explain the name. Cranberry has trial data for preventing repeat infections, which may be the link. The name is not proof the capsule treats or prevents any infection.
Is the UTI herbal blend an antibiotic?
No. None of the four lines is an antibiotic, and the label makes no such claim. Infections confirmed by a clinician are treated with prescribed antibiotics.
Can I use FemiPro while taking antibiotics?
The label does not address it, so ask your prescriber or pharmacist first. Berberine can change how the body handles some drugs, which is why a quick check helps.
Does the UTI herbal blend help bladder leaks?
No trial shows it does. Leaks and infections are different problems. Bladder training and pelvic floor exercises come first for leaks, and a clinician can sort the type.
